It’s time to start thinking about making the most of your new technology in your classroom. If you haven’t already done so, you may want to connect to the internet and there are two ways to do this:
- Wireless Connection
- Ethernet connection
In most circumstances internet connection will have been set up by an IT administrator when the ActivPanel was initially installed, alternatively, this may have been set up by the installer. When the ActivPanel is turned on for the first time there is a prompt to connect to a wireless network, you may not need to change this set up if it’s been completed, but just in case…
Open the Unified menu from the left, right, bottom or Centre Console on the ActivPanel. Tap the Locker App. Within the Locker you will find the Settings app, tap this to access WiFi settings.
Tap the Wi-Fi toggle button to ensure that it is set to the ‘on’ position. The device will now search for available Wi-Fi connections. Touch the Wi-Fi network you wish to connect to and enter any connection details if required, just as you might do on a tablet or mobile phone.
To connect your ActivPanel using an Ethernet cable you may need a network administrator or someone who is comfortable with entering Proxy Settings.
You can access these settings in a similar way to the WiFi connection instructions above, but this time, choose ‘Ethernet’ instead of ‘WiFi’.
